FAQ'S

  • Can I use this at home?

We’ve noticed home gyms are becoming increasingly popular, we all like to work out in the privacy and comfort of our own home, plus with the rise in popularity of functional training, such as CrossFit, building a home gym often gives people the option of adding whatever equipment they want.  This gives rise to the questions: Is commercial gym equipment useful for home gyms?  Is commercial gym equipment worth the extra cost when using it at home?  Let’s explore these questions.

Commercial Gym Equipment – The Difference
Commercial gym equipment is designed and built very differently to home gym equipment.  For starters, it’s designed to be used at much higher intensities, by the widest group of people, who all vary in their height, weight, age and of course ability.  It is therefore designed to be very adjustable and built to stand up to usage from the heaviest, strongest and most capable of users.
Secondly, it’s designed for very frequent use, by people who won’t treat it like their own, so generally it’s built to expect regular abuse.
On the whole commercial equipment comes in one of two grades.  First there’s full commercial equipment (like Pulse’s), which uses the best materials, strongest construction, and most durable designs.  This equipment is the most expensive as its original purpose was intended for use in full commercial facilities, such as paying gyms.
Then, there’s a light commercial equipment variant, which is similar, but designed for use in non-paying environments, such as school gyms, hospitals, staff gyms etc.  This equipment is still built to a high specification, but it’s not expected to endure the same level of regular use or abuse.

Is Commercial Gym Equipment Useful for Home Gyms?
Now we’ve explained the difference, irrespective of the build quality and price, the question remains, can commercial gym equipment actually be useful in a home gym? The simple answer is yes!

About Us

Pulse Fitness has over forty years experience of designing, manufacturing, selling, maintaining and repeatedly replacing our customers commercial fitness
equipment.

Our customers almost always take out extended warranties on their purchases and when they choose to upgrade their equipment we often get the opportunity
to buy it back.

For years now, we have helped our budget conscious customers purchase this pre-owned (Resale) equipment from us. The equipment had always been maintained
and this service was only offered to business customers who enquired about it.

So, after forty years, we decided to formalise this area of our business and open it up to all enquiries by building a digital shop.

We hope you enjoy checking out what we have in stock and look forward to helping you becoming a customer.
